Very cool Mattyuk. Man, your improvement grows exponentially. At this rythm you'll kick ass the forum very soon Very Happy Very nice tones and brushtrokes. I suggest you being a bit more "chaotic" or "accidental" on the way you put the shadows and the direction of brushtroke , because it looks a bit flat. Now looks fine but i'll put for example some dinamic (not vertical) brushtrokes on the right cheek, the nose, or adding more shadows on the lips, defining brushtrokes and shadows between the lips and the chin, between the mouth and the nose etc You could try to depict the parts that looks more drawed like the ears, the eyes or the part under the nose. One accident or two helps the painting to get more life Very Happy

Hi, Mattyuk.

I cant resist to overpaint your drawing. A good tip to get volume and depth:

1.Try to get the brushtroke on the direction of every feature on the face (that depends on your style, but is always true in some way)
2. Make contrast as possible on every area of the painting.
3. complimentary colours helps a lot too.
4. Depict and make "abstract" some zones, and achieve variety on the render (texture, size of brushtroke, masses of color and shadow, etc).
Hope this helps Very Happy

Hi To everyone! A quick one for the day! 2 hour.

RayToh: That is brilliant!

Samsonsreaper: I personaly think you are on to something when you draw the black line on top in certain places. it really gives form to your style.

AndreeWallin: Really like it. Reminds me of bjrk and chris cunningham music videos.

Fiend: Thank you! your forrest looks great.

Smile
