Many of us use Windows Explorer alternatives/replacements such as Total Commander, XYplorer, Directory Opus...etc (, and I'm wondering if you guys know one that could do the following:

I need a feature that ACDSee (newer versions have it) has, which allows you to select multiple folders and show their contents at the same time.

See how in this screenshot, the folder tree on the left all have a little square on the left? If you click on any of them, its content will show up in the main display window, and if you click on more than one, they'll all show up in the main display window, as if they were all in one folder. This makes comparing folders, finding duplicates with different names, and just general browsing a lot more flexible. I know a lot of people like the dual pane layout like in Total Commander, but this multip-folder select definitely has advantaged over the dual pane layout.

So I'm looking for an Explorer alternative that has that feature. Anyone know of something like that? (The reason I don't want to just use ACDSee for general browsing is because it's designed for media browsing and can be quite slow for general browsing.)

ACDSee also has a rating/tagging system where you can rate how much you like a file by color-coded numbers, or check-mark files and be able to sort them by check-marks. Any Explorer alternatives out there have a similar system?
