Lakka: that is one freaky demon man thing ... awesome.
This is the reference ...
And this is a speedpaint 3 hours too long.. ...
the figure in the building is messed up
and you could probably tell that i got tired
when it came to the canopy of the giant tree.
was trying to make this mildly proportionate tree,
whos branches grew mostly on one side and it defies gravity.

Great stuff guys. Took me around a week of "resolute" browsing to get through this thread. Too many people to point out for their great stuff, so I'll just bow in all four general directions. This thread is a inspirational bomb. 
I'm kinda new to this whole digital painting stuff, I've done about 20-30 painted things on the wacom, which is just about nothing. I try to learn the techniques and tricks as fast as I can. And how to make proper brushes and so on, I still can't quite produce what I "see". But I feel it's getting better all the time. Sorry for the long post.
Here's my attempt. ~30mins Wacom CS2.
