I don't know if you guys already have seen this, but being a child of the early 90s, it really had me grinning all over my face. Not only is it quite close to the original, it also makes me remember how great the animated series were back then. Go look for his other videos, he's got some nice riffs and stuff.

Hah, never heard of Ulysses It looks and sounds kinda kinky to me, especially the 70s style haircuts. The story seems to be fun though. Gotta look into it.
Saber Rider is/was something like a national treasure on German television (the only country where it was popular and successful). It was originally a japanese show, but some Americans bought it, modified it heavily replacing the plot, shifting the hierarchy of the team, adding western elements. They also renamed almost everything in the show so it fitted the western clichs. That's why the show was originally called "Star Musketeer Bismarck", and is now "Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs". Nevertheless it was kinda cool, very black/white, very Western. The animations and designs were superb actually, and the characters are my favorites even today.
Here's Ramrod's/Bismarck's transformation scene. The dialog is too funny. "Head 'em up. Move them out!"

Hahaha, Nag, that was a fabulous show. I used to watch it when I was home from school early. It's completely different from anything the US or Japan would make, similar to the style Tin-Tin had compared to animated movies from the US. _________________ CA SB|Flickr |
