It's my birthday today, and I have a present to myself. The oil painting, "Irreverent Rapture" IS DONE!
...or virtually done. I'm going to let it dry for a few weeks and then do some final glazing in a few spots...
I've been letting a couiple of jobs slide to finish it up. Have to get back to the bread and butter stuff, but I'm hoping this weekend to take a bunch of detail shots.

Feels good... I started this painting in November of 2005. After about 6 months, I scraped what I had been working on and started anew. This is the final result. Whew! The next on will not take as long....

You showed that taking time is a good thing, actually. I think that's the reason the result looks so fine. Nice work!
