And here to make the rest of you look good, it's me
Another speedy of a photo my uncle took in pakistan, I've been trying to do a little landscape recently since I usually don't do many environments.
Lakka, don't know if you're sick of my advice yet: on the plus side, the longer 'non-speedy' stuff you linked too showed potential, keep spending a lot of time on individual drawings. I'd also recommend placing some restrictions on yourself.
-Don't use Dodge or Burn or white. no white.
-Avoid the 'mostly monochromatic scheme' Try to work with warm and cool colors, using cool tones in the shadows of warm light, etc
-draw from life or from reference, some imagination is good but if that's all you draw from it'll be hard to improve. I draw almost exclusively from reference just because I'm still trying to develop my skills, and eventually the habits I pick up will be useful to me when I draw from imagination. |

Sampster I definately should do some drawings from life, I'm actually planning on spending some time drawing landscapes at our "summer cottage" (an old house from the early 20th century) next summer.
About the monochromatic thing, I do try to add some colors in here and there, but once again the thing I did right now is quite low on the colorside. Hopefuly the landscape drawing will help me out a bit on this.
Oh and on the upper troll pic (http://koti.mbnet.fi/matu_k/ROLLIKKa.jpg) I really just wanted to do with some highly saturated greens mainly for the "evergreen" forest feel. Though after checking through most of my stuff at http://koti.mbnet.fi/matu_k/ I realized that the colorpalette tends to be quite limited, unless the picture is from inside somewhere, I dont know where this really comes from but it is a problem
I apologize for the wall-of-text. |

This one took over 2hours, started out as a fast one but ended up rubbing rex full of horrible scribles so thats that.
Hopefuly the colorpalette is somewhat better than usually!

Mitsui, so cool
This is an overpaint. Probably gonna work on it more. Or maybe it's better to throw it away... (old one)
