Just wondering if any of you guys have any good picks for a small, as in not too much mem usuage, preferrably free image viewing programs?

I was using an older version of ACDSee that had a real cool trial version that would download ads almost like email and you chose when to look at them... however with newer windows patches etc.. its not working as well as it used to..

so Im beginning my search for a new image viewing software.

The only real requirement I have is that it be able to view PSD files as well as the rest of the standard image formats. (obviously)

thanks for any tips/ideas.

Take a look at Google's Picasa; it's free and even thumbs PSDs. We actually use it work (or rather a bit of non-creatives do, i.e. project managers, etc.).

xnview is an open-source semi-clone of ACDSee.

Some people here use it, although I prefer ACDSee because it's what I use at home.

XnView is the best free app I've come across. For commercial app, I use ACDSee Pro, although grudgingly (it crashes more than anything else I've ever used in my life).

I prefer IrfanView. ACDSee is starting to look like a poor man's Photoshop and it's kind of annoying to me.

Second that. Irfan is an awesome Pakistani. Smile

The rest is bloatware.
