It will be dumb.
Grandpa Stalone saying cheezy, pseudo-grand things. Perhaps in the 80's this stuff was HIP, but so were the leg-warmers.

No one will be expecting a masterpiece in the war film genre, but it may just be a lot of fun.

King Conan almost happened, John Milius had written the script, but Arnold had to go into fucking politics Mad .

I cant wait for Rambo. The two sequels may not be great films but they are a hell of lot of fun and the first film is solid. I think the trailers for the new new one have been poorly done though, the first unofficial gory trailer that was posted on aint it cool was frikkin awesome. I dont think its going to be quite the cheesy action fest the official trailers are selling it as.

I much prefer the classic 80s action films over the cgi filled crap we get these days.

I remember seeing the very early previews of the film and it looked a lot more gory than the new trailer. I figured they had to go for a PG-13 rating, which kinda sucks. Stalone's last Rocky film was decent, so I might be interested in seeing this one.

It's still a hard R movie. You're just looking at the general audiences (green band) trailer.

I'm not a Stallone fan at all (coupled by the fact that a friend who worked on one of his movies said he was a colossal prick), but I have to admit, this looks damned good.

I drink neither Pijiu nor Baijiu, only the original vodka!

And Rambo is against communism, so I can't relax.

Only thing that would make it more awesome would be if Chuck Norris has a role in it.

Absolutely.

I was actually looking forward to this. All the way untill i found out that Stallone is a huge anti-gun activist and a contributor to a Brady Campaign.

He also recently acquired a very rare concealed carry permit in LA.

So you see, guns are cool to Stallone as long he makes money with them. And 2nd amendment is cool too, but only for royalty like Stallone not for the rest of us plebes.

So fuck him and his movies.

Isn't that like saying Sir Anthony Hopkins has no right to be anti-cannibalism? Wink

Sure, if saving lives as a cool gun toting spec ops guy is the same as murdering and eating humans then yes you would have a point Suma. But do you have a point? Wink

And i like how you ignore my second point about his LA CCW. No opinion on that one eh?

google: ccw stallone

* Drunken Monkey resists a gutteral urge to launch into another gun rights argument.

Say what now?

You said that Stallone shouldn't be anti-gun because he uses guns in his movie. That's what my Hopkins thing was joking about.

If it's true, and if he does actually carry a gun (and not simply have the CCW thing), then that bit probably is hypocritical. Unless he's lobbying for gun control with the hope of getting rid of his gun too.

Too many ifs to have an opinion.

1. Uses guns in his movies to sell himself and that tough ass rambo image. Tell me otherwise after watching this trailer of .50 cal liquifying a bad guy.

2. There is no ifs here to me. If he wants to get rid of his gun - HE SHOULDNT BE GETTING ONE.
