Hey everyone, I don't know how to go about this, but I was wondering if anyone on here would be comfortable selling me some of their work.
I can't pay much and it would only be for decoration in my apartment, but I would rather pay a little bit and get consent from the artist before i start saving images and blowing them up.
My favorite stuff I've seen on these forums is the stuff in the speed painting threads, that style is really awesome and I'd like to use the program The rasterbator to blow a few of them up to put on my walls.
I'd probably only be able to pay about $10 an image, but All I would ask in return is a high res copy of the image that would work well to be blown up.
I know that might seem incredibly low to some of you who do art for a living, but I'm a broke college kid and can't afford more for artwork. Besides, I think most of the stuff I want is the stuff that you guys did for fun anyway.
So, If anyone is up to it, please post here and tell me how you'd like to be paid. The easiest would be paypal but I'm up to other forms. Thanks guys and keep up the great work. |

Thanks for the reply, there is some cool stuff on there and I've never seen that site before.
I wasn't trying to lowball anyone, just seeing if anyone wanted to sell some of the 30 minute works they did in the speed painting thread. Make a little $$ of something sitting on their HD. |

many people sell prints for $10 piece. I mean it's not selling the copyright or anything (of course you're giving away the file..) other than that I don't think the request was so crazy.. but I'd suggest you email or pm those people specifically whose work you'd like to have, you might get more replies that way. And yeah, for prints I'd check deviantprints, they're pretty cheap I believe. Yeah and maybe if you ask the guys whose work you'd like, maybe they'll make their work available at deviantart.. so you can buy their stuff that way and artists don't have to send their files around (which would be a problem for me, then you could sell my work and I wouldn't get anything).
For example I see professional matte artist Dylan Cole selling his work as prints (12x18inches) for around 25$ a piece. And a lot of that goes to deviantprint for all printing materal and that company's profit.. so I don't think he's getting much more than 10$. |

Its not commercial and only for his wall.
i think u should just check out the Sijun gallerys and ask the artist if he would send u a picture u like in high resolution to put it on your wall. _________________ *

its very cool to see somebody being honest and offering to buy rather than outright stealing the work.
I know its just for personal purposes but its still cool that hes askin. |

You can buy ownership of my art for $500 a piece or $3000 for everything I have. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |
