F*ck, sorry to take the top post here.... well here's something I drew up real quick.
thanks for the warm wishes. I am getting better day by day. hard to sit in one spot though.

Insane Lemur: you had your appendix out? wow. yeah, mine was curled up under my colon so they had to really dig for it. the surgeon said my scar started out small, but had to get bigger so they could move my guts around to get my appendix out. lil' bugger was set to pop and make my life real hell. hahaha.

retro: thanks so much man. you got to paint in surgery? are you an intern? how'd you score that gig? I'd love to paint during a surgery or even in a cadaver room. did it gross you out or anything?

Justin: thanks a lot my brotha. yeah it sux but don't ever hesitate to go to the doctor if you have a stomach ache for more than 4 hours straight. I waited for 15 hours and the doctor said I was lucky to come in when I did cause it was about to pop. at least I don't have to worry about my appendix anymore huh? hahaha.

octavian: nah. was a school project, unfortunately i had little time as i did my diploma at that time. blood was no problem. the clamps they put on the people to keep the stomach open look a bit violent, but it seems to be ok. its weird when they search for the part they are going to cut / sew and take a couple hands full of guts out. but surprisingly i had no trouble with that. actually it was quite interesting and not disgusting at all. i painted in oils but fucked up as they wouldnt stand still for more than a couple seconds. painting at court was way easier. they digital paint was on top of a pencil sketch i did in there. and actually if you'd like to paint in there - just ask. i have seen people get to paint in the weirdest places.

i like your scribbles. that one on the right is my favorite. hope you get well soon.

pet: thanks

paint to post

Sparth: the painturly effect you achieve always amaze me. Mais comment fais tu?
Notic: I like your experimentation, nice result
Pet: you achieve great textures (i am kind of jealous, umph)
Samson: simply GREAT. I especially like the last one (makes me think of a Neil Gaiman book)
Mitsui: the second one is really cool with this anime feeling, it is also very warm
Miau: love your fishs and the way they glow
Nachoyaque: quite a story behind your pic
All the others: you make this thread SO amazing

Here is my poor contribution (how I would like to have more time to practice and improve my skills)

Leopard Snow, I really love that last one, also the face looks really awesome from a 1meter distance (yeah I tried Embarassed ). I mean it looks great as it is, but from a 1 meter distance it was on a whole nother level. =) (as in extremely realistic as the colors blended in a bit, which is nice for an ~1hour :p )

Also, Lean Bean McQueen your stuff is pretty stylish and original Smile

PS. I really got to thank all the people in this post. After joining in with this speedpaint thing I have found myself alot more relaxed and watching all of your stuff really helped me get out of a bubble, where I rarely drew anything 'original'.

Thank ya! Surprised

Nice stuff, Leopard Snow!

Yay I finally bought more ram for my happy lappy.

M@'s brushes, trying to paint in what I think might be Vyle/Sparth's style.
