Great work everyone

Sampsonsreaper: ur stuff is lookin so hot! love it.

If anyone can write me a tutorial about life I would appreciate it, I really need a life makeover haha.

Matthew: I have a life tutorial for you: Read Jean-Paul Sartre's "Being and Nothingness", when you can't figure out what the hell he's saying, bash your head into the concrete until you get it. Then, with your digital camera take a picture of the resulting "art" your forehead leaves on the concrete... hang said art on the wall near your bed so that every morning you wake up thankful for having transcended existentialism and achieved Zen. seriously, it works... I've been cheerful ever since. Razz

here is my post Sartre, head-trauma, concrete-zen:

a quick marker sketch... does that count? sorry for the pretentious framing, text, and sig... Embarassed

octavian, really cool, what measurements on the print if I may ask? ouch btw regarding banging the head, hmm maybe I will try it anyway. Smile Existentialism, I keep getting myself involved with the thinking that we as mankind are brainwashed beyond existence, I can't get it out of my head. Fears don't really exist, sure in your head but that is what you and I create. Fear of the snake is only a fear once u are afraid of it, so did the snake get more dangerous to you, no, u created the feeling hence it became a threat.
Gonna go check that book up , thanks for the tip.
have u read anything with George Orwell?

Bg, that's a real nice one, very soothing depth. snif I wish I could do stuff like that.

P-rik, I like these orange ones

taikek, hey there tai addicting isn't it? Smile I like them, keep going.

ok gotta go surf some doom forums, we are all doomed haha straight to hell, I'll bring the coffe. hmm how the hell is coffeee spelled anyway?

question, is there an easy way to create
from sharp to blur in a scene or picture in photoshop? from
any focalpoint to a point where blur is needed
or let's call it out of focus point. Like you do with a gradient
map in photoshop, u can choose from where the gradient starts
and then u can make it either circleish or square or whatever and
the color gets tonal shifting from bright to dark, anyway,
are there any similar possibilites or tecnique that you could do
this with the blur tool?
hmm tricky to explain what I am after. crap

better hide

Matthew: you could try doing it with a very strongly feathered elliptical mask and apply blur to a duplicate of the layer you wanna apply it to...
Actually, what you're after is something I also wanted to find a good solution to for quite a while...but this is the best I can think of Wink

Matthew: yeah as hideyoshi said. But I can't help feeling that your picture is a metaphor for something deeper. ha
man if you can understand Jean-Paul Sartre, then you are one of the top minds on the planet. Personally I'd rather eat broken glass and laugh my way into oblivion.
George orwell? yup, I've read that dude, I've read lots of dudes. The only one that made any sense was Chuang Tzu though. that guy had it all figured out.

Bg: haha, absolutely not. well, It may be real blood, but not mine... i found it with a google search for "blood concrete".

heres another shitty, overly pretentious vehicle. But this one comes with a substandard rendering and painfully bad elipses!!!! enjoy!:

yea "1984" George orwell, seems to me he is after that it is no escape no matter what, the main character in the end if you remember? We humans accept everything once the collective tell us, imagine everyone would start raping eachother and broadcast on tv tecniques on how to rape. Wouldn't take long before it gets within the normal rate of things, snif.

Krishnamurti, look him up, I wrote u in the pm octav...

thanks hideyoshi, gotta experiment but I gotta tell you I am bad with the path settings so we will how it goes.

ok sorry for hijacking

1000 posts, I remember I posted to suma way back and back then it was more active in these parts, however a 1000 post speedy celebration would be neat in the speed painting thread. Not sure how to do this but it would be cool with some kind of activity, maybe after that we could make a new Speed thread? what u guys think?

ok ok going... (weird stair noise) clank clank... ok going....
