How I wish... heh, I've got XP running with parallels on a new macbook pro (that means the santa rosa intel core duo things)... sadly I don't think it's the newer version of parallels (aka it doesn't support graphic intensive games).
Maybe if I got Boot Camp set up I'd be able to play HL2... it's an amazing game that's for sure, and team fortress 2 looks insane. I haven't been keeping up though, is that going with that package deal to Xbox 360 before it comes to pc... sorry for being so ignorant. |

Dhabih, since you posted last time years ago, a few people, like myself, have drifted away from playing games and became 40+ year old adults!!!
I'm still waiting for that new Swordsman tutorial! Haaaaaaaaaa!! |

I'm "John Rambo"
Am I an idiot or can you not just buy episode 2 and portal?
And if not, what idiot made that decision? I'll be damned if I pay for HL2 and episode one again. |

You should be able to buy episode 2 and portal, but not yet. The only way to pre-order them, as far as I know, is to get orange box. On steampowered.com the page for orange box has a listing of what each game costs on it's own. |

I've waited for a deal like the orange box for quite a while now. Going to buy it the old-fashioned way on play.com though.
Anyone know how exactly it is with the taxes when you buy over steam. On the site it only mentions that you might have to pay taxes and that they report quarterly to somewhere in the UK for EU stuff. My friend asked me the other day and I couldn't tell him and if there are taxes involved there is really no use in buying it over steam instead of the traditional way. Not even with the USD Euro difference I think. |

glitterbug: I paid 40,21 EUR for my copy on steam. That amounts to something like 52 dollars according to current rates, and the tax-free price was about 45 dollars.
An Austrian friend bought the same, paid 58 dollars for it. |

Thanks for the info. Definitely makes more sense to buy it at the store then, since I'm not in a rush. |
