Hey everyone. Here's a portrait i did of a friend of mine. Still practicing facial proportions. Any crits or tips?

The lighting makes him look kinda rat-like... Otherwise I think it's good.

haha! I havn't thought of that, but now that you mention it,,, It does make him look kind of rat like! Hahah I'm sure he'll appreciate that!

I like the style of it, but there's just something about the proportions and positions that make it feel a bit icky. A bit like the guy from The Goonies.

I'd particularly rethink the shadow around the eye socket and down the nose. The way it curves like that makes it look like his nose is pushed over to the left.

haha geez i hope he doesn't read this thread. A bit ratlike and like the guy from the goonies? That cracks me up. Actually i think the proportions are pretty close to the reference I used. But I'll have a look again at the nose and see if I can improve it. Thanks for the tips!
