MMMmmmm.... lotsa love and a little hate. If there's one thing Spidey 3 proved, it's that you can easily shave 30 minutes off any 2.5 hour-long summer action flick and make it infinitely better. |

Didn't think much of it. The first half was ok, but the second half was kinda empty and a bit goofy.
Another waste of a good license for me. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

Haha, I loved it. Inept as Michael Bay is, I think they threw enough money and screen time at the action sequences that I got my $10 Bucks worth. If I had expected something other than cool robot fight sequences, it would have been a let down. Also, Shia Leboeuf was great. _________________ artpad.org |

If anybody went expecting anything more than giant robots hitting and shooting each other... then you went for the wrong reasons.
That said, I loved it. There were some reeeaaally chessy parts but overall I havent had that much fun at a movie in a long time. |

Well said Awetopsy, totally agree. CGIs were just amazing...
The only part that really sucked was the advertisement in the film. I never saw so many brands appearing in a film. |

I've come to expect that any Bay film will be a 120 minute commercial. I was surprised he ddidn't work more into Pearl Harbor. |

Said it a dozen times and will say it again: Driven by one-liners and good fx.
Unfortunately it's not more. The actors were ok presumed you didn't expect much, Shia LaBeouf was a nice choice and did his job well. But the disneyness in the dialogs killed the seriousness of the movie. The FX and design was great.
Popcorn movie. A good one. I spend the 8 bucks and don't regret it, but just because I'm not a big comic fan.
Uh yeah, I hope that pointed it out. _________________ CA SB|Flickr |

Well, the Story was as stupid as in the Cartoon Series, but i love that Movie for their superrealistic special effects and that humor.
It was just stunning, when the massive Transformers battle trhough the City like Ninjas, wow! _________________ *

Any movie that manages to keep you as captivated as this one did is a GREAT movie. That the last quarter threw away all ambitions to keep the movie together story-wise is ok, I had already gotten my fix by then.
This movie and the movie Sunshine is the only one worth seeing this year. Something about the sensuality and emotional-stir and pure magnificent beauty that Sunshine offered that is rare.
Almost forgot the movie blades of glory. There you have it the movie guru has spoken! see you next year kids! |

I was literally blown away....
...by the visual effects. They were absoluteley incredible. Sometimes I wished I could have stopped the time,...and just see and anjoy. I haven't seen something like this before,...I'd go back into the cinema to see 1 minute and pay for it. I guess I am just too much in love with vfx in general. I still have fighting bots in my head,...speechless....
The soundtrack was okay, altough it lacked character. The acting was quite good I think. Some characters were useless and completely destroyed the ambience. For example that goofy Sector 7 dude. wtf? and the hacker, and,..so on,...dammit!
The sound effects tho were the best I have heard besides the ones of Star Wars, ever! They too blew me away. I'd go watch the movie again just for the incredible mechanical sounds.
The story. As expected...Michael Bay. It's not about the story tho. It's about the cinematography in general. And it lacked in many non cg (were there any?) scenes.
Deep respect for ILM, they always do their job. Producers and Directors, take a look at your screenplay before taking any step further.
my two cents |
