I've encountered an issue I had before with my intuos 3 on a different computer: The strokes don't end when I cease to press on the pen, but about half a second later. This means that each stroke, unless I consciously hover the pen at the endpoint of the stroke for a bit, ends up with a trail veering off in the direction I moved the pen after the stroke. Highly annoying. Has anyone else had this issue? It happens in Photoshop with the regular pen - interestingly enough, the art marker does not exhibit this problem.

Do you have the Histogram open? I remember it causing some delays, but I'm not sure if this is the case.

I suggest re-installing the Wacom drivers, if you haven't already tried that.

edit: re-read your post, so you have two physical pens and it works on the another.. Hmm weird, no idea what could cause that.

The first thing I did when I got this laptop (after making a set of factory default restore dvds) was uninstall Vista... So not that. Now the issue is gone btw, no idea why. Might be some kind of photoshop conflict with another piece of software that I don't happen to be running now. I remember PS 5 used to have all kinds of performance issues if winamp was running in the background, who knows.

Photoshop - latest version - and Vista do not work well together? I've been thinking about a new laptop. That gives me pause....

Well you have to do some tricks to get it working, and even when that is done, it still has some problems with some drivers.

i've also been having problems with vista and intuos 3, damn annoying. it stops working after 1-2 hours, and when it works, it lags.

apparently, according to the thread over at the wacom forum, it has something to do with nvidia drivers.. interesting..

but i'm gonna go back with XP anyways, i'm having problems with other drivers as well.
