..stuff do you people like? I mean as far as movies, videogames, etc...

Just wondering...

My big thing is B&W movies, I love em! I like the old Dracula, Frankenstien, and old monster flicks. I used to be big on horrors, but lately I've taken a liking to stuff with deeper plots. Stuff that makes you think, you know? Awe, and animal shows! That's the dingy!

As far as games I play a lot of conspiracy and or convert opps related stuff. Rainbow Six games, Swat, Janes games and the like. First persons are good too. Theif, Half-Life and all! Oh! And a lot of RPG's Baldur's Gate stuff! Dark and Evil stuff is always good...

I read more books than anything....Sweet Sunday was the best! The book by Rodgerd Moontz about the end of the Earth? That one! It's pretty evil and promotes anarchy but it's damned deep. And "THe Secret Wars" about the worm hole thing, where people where actually plants planted by evil, in hopes that they'll spawn into the warriors of the end time. Also "Man's Book of Song", nothing but deep poetry but it's good.

Comics? Well I like Preacher, damn ending! The Wicked, Witchblade, Sam and Twitch, Godman, Fortune 6, Temple, and alot of Tom Sheperd's stuff.

The only paintings I pay attention to are Rene' Magrite' <<spelling?<< and Van Gogh's stuff. So I won't get into that!

Games : not many these days because of my RSI. I loved Counter-strike and Delta Force 1 though.

Movies : anything that sticks out above the rest in story/acting/camera work/whatever. I loved Ransom, Platoon, The Frighteners, Seven, Fallen, Fear and loathing in las vegas, to drop some names.

Books : psychological stuff. As well as some generic thrillers like Koontz makes em. And ofcourse Iain Banks

Music : Anything in between Hyperblastgrind and Techstep DnB. Current favourite is the canadian metalband Spread The Disease (RIP).

Comics : i'd rather read books. I loved battle angel Alita though. The Sandman is also very good.

ok, here we go,

Games: I'm getting into Wip3out in a big way at the moment and Tony Hawks on the playstation. PC games I like are Q3A, Delta Force2, AOE2, oh and Freecell :

Music: Pretty much everything from Snoop Doggy Dogg to Bjork to Squarepusher to DJ Shadow to Gomez to Nirvana to Holst to Led Zepplin to Michael Jackson (Thriller only!) to Groove Armada to Limp Bizkit. Just everything really.

Books: LOTR (wow), Iain M Banks, William Gibson, Terry Pratchet, Robin Hobb (good fantasy novels), Mario Puzo, James Clavell(sp)Shogun...I'll read pretty much everything though.

Comics: haven't really read many comics, just look at the art.

Painting: no firm favourites (I'm slightly scared of Salvador Dali) I like the whole surrealist thang with Klee and Kandinsky (sp) I like Photography more especially Ansel Adams and Robert Mapplethorpe.

Does anyone know the secret formula? :

movies: anything thats good. i like to call myself the movie god because i fancy ive seen just about every movie you can think of from 1980 to 2000. except foreigns, westerns, misc. movies like that.

games: i love FPS (first person shooters), and i love RPGs. i'll play anything also thats fun. some current loves of mine are Quake 3, Deus Ex, Diablo II, Legend of Dragoon, the list goes on.

music: punk rock, hardcore techno (not trance or dance music, i mean real stuff by real digital artists. underworld to name one.), or sometimes i can listen to normal alternative. i also have a soft spot for orchestrated music (the ff7 soundtrack, anyone?)

comics: i used to read em, but when i did it was all about uncanny x-men.

Books: Edgar Allen Poe, Clive Barker, James Patterson, and Carl Sagan

Music: Nine Inch Nails, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Tori Amos, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Soulfly, Kittie, Hatebreed, Pantera, Sepultura, Bach, and Wagner

Comics: used to read X-Men all the time, my favorite was the miniseries called "Age of Apocalypse"

Psi burn go out and rent some of those foreign films man. You don't know what your missing. Check out Akira Kurosawa, he has some great samurai movies.

Also Underworld IS trance techno. Just for your info. What do you mean by real techno anyway? You don't mean that house shit do you?

it's in my nature to get involved..

i'd say underworld could be described as 'hardcore trance'.. ? kinda darkish and deep but stable like trance. they have a variety of tunes though. makes it a wee hard to constrain.

techno is in a category but itself, like house. check out the categories in electronic at mp3.com.
