So I spent ~4 hrs doing this character up and I want to push it further. But, I have no idea how to do it. I figured I'd get some opinions first, at this stage.

Could I get a few comments please? I'd like to know where people think I need to improve and/or how they might think I could push this. |

There's sort of a bit of everything wrong with it.
It's not bad, by any means, but if you're looking for things to push you could do more accurate anatomy, you could work on a more realistic pose (the legs are the main problem here), add consistent light-sourcing over the entire object, and use more realistic skin tones. The whole thing kinda feels a bit too murky too, like it was originally a full color image than has been reduced to 64 colors or something.
Hopefully that'll give you some ideas to go on with. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

Thanks, that helps! Hmmm... I'm not sure how I'd be able to avoid murky looks in the future. Do you have any suggestions? |

Hi...
I like the style .... 50 years ago, with more red tones it was called "soc-real"...
But, the hammer... With this cylindrical shape it look like a common rubberhammer.... this size hammers normally having square shapes. |
