I think it looks great.

why did you leave the face un-touched in the begining?

Most painters have a wall they hit. it's either hard to start a painting or hard to finish it. I start to second guess myself during what I call the effect process. final lighting.

Try ten small (5x5?) throw away paintings of the same object or face(something you love to paint). Set your goal as the tenth one, so don't worry too much about the first nine. Know that the tenth one is going to be alot better than the first or second one. If you paint yourself into a corner (or a eye or ear) stop. start on the next one. You will learn so much of your own techniques in a quick amount of time.

Hey good to see you again. This is coming along great, Im loving the bouncelight under the chin. I don't know what else to say at this point since you're still working on it and from what I can tell you know what you're doing, but I'd say you're going to need some shadow under the brow and under the bottom lip.
