I am intending to purchase a Wacom tablet.

I have a question, is bigger better? I mean I cant imagine working on a very small tablet; however I do not know how they operate and would be interested in knowing if the surface area of the tablet is of importance. The application I intend to use it for is Adobe cs2 mostly for art. Any suggestions?

I started out with a5 size wacom. It worked out just fine. Then I got a4 and it's just better - I can use sweeping elbow movements. So if you are short in cash, go for a5, but if you can afford a4, go for it.

Of all the tablets Ive tried then I like the regular A4 best.. the A3 is to large for me.

It probably depends on the size of your display and how far it is from you. A tablet about the same size as the perceived size of your display should work best.

Just curious, why do all of you Americans use the European sizes? I had to check the European section of Wacom's site just to see what you guys were talking about. I've got an A6 (4" x 5"), and I sort of regret it. Too small.

And.. ryan. You've been banned twice already. Why do you keep coming back?

I wondered that too - I had to look up the conversion to say A6
