great work everyone!
I promised myself "no more speedies", but I can't help it. Smile

Here is a little low quality tutorial I put together. mainly to show one approach to starting a painting.
It can be found HERE

Chad Weatherford - simply beautiful
Naglfar - great portrait
watmough - the master!
annisahmad - great pinks!
Samsonreaper - great speedies...you really seem to be fast!
Zoetrope - great job on the balance of empty space...it could benefit from a sharpen pass

Just saw David Levy's aka Vyle Gnomon DVD and I had to try out some of his techniques. Took me about 30 min each.

thanks everyone on that last one.
mitsui, watmough, annis - great color.
ranath - nice drama in that little green environment.
naglfar - evocative lighting on those industrial interiors, esp. the flipped third one.

this one started as a custom brush comp. not happy with the color at all.

I always enjoy looking at your paints P-Rik, the latest is no exception Smile

Mitsui: Always so refreshing to look at your stuff and grin
Thom: Great stuff

This was much harder than I thought it would be... must have been all the variations in hue. Crits are welcome

Alroight! Here's my participation on this speedpainting thread.

There's a solo (ex-soldier or mercenary, maybe assassin etc.) in a bit tight situation. Lurking enemies, who are seeking this guy behind the column. Yep..
Hopefully you like it.

Whaddap dawgs!

Long time no post. I've been busy with school and my first illustration assignment ever! Woohoo. Three quarters of the task completed I decided to paint something else for a change, just to let out some steam. 3,5 hours with this li' bugger
