Nice one, style reminds me of some animation I vaguely remember. Good palette. Only thing I think would improve it is to move the person a bit more out of the center so the composition gets a bit better(or crop the image differently).

Any reason you prefer the quadratic format so much? At least it seems to me like that and I've been wondering for a while now.

I really like your style as of late man. it looks handcrafted and it feels good inside. I think you still could try to give the painting a bit more depth with less saturated areas in the background, as well as use a bit more sharper curves on the main character so that it doesn't blend in with everything else as much.

keep it up

Thanks a ton med, that means a lot to me.

Ryan, glad you like it, that's a hell of a compliment as well.

Glitter - thanks for the input. Honestly, the woman was put in last and the only spot on the ground that had enough free space was right there, and I wasn't willing to rework the entire foreground at that stage. Hopefully she's just barely off-centered enough to not look staged - I thought she balanced out the moon pretty well - but this is a recurring problem for me and I'm glad you're finally getting me to notice. As for the quadratic format.. It's really just a habit. I automatically open a new canvas at 1000x1000px every time I open PS... If the image is croppable, I'll crop it, but if I've already invested a lot into the entire canvas I'll usually just leave it. I do sometimes make a conscious effort to pick a different frame, but not often enough.

DARYL - Thanks man. I've really just been dabbling with PS's dry media brush palette, I like the authentic look and feel of them too. You're right about the saturation, I didn't notice it but the foreground and background look pretty flat. As for the figure, I repainted her a few times to nail just the right degree of conspicuousness - I wanted her noticeable, but only after a few seconds of looking. I also found that too-sharp edges really didn't mesh with the rest of the image, so I had to get the right balance considering there really aren't many other defined edges in the picture.

Thanks a lot for the comments everyone, much appreciated
