Capt Fred. thank you! I saw your last work in speedpaintings and LOVE much this, especially the background! want to see more of your genius brain Very Happy

Affected, like this. Post more, dude

*posting even worse crap lol I handle highlights very bad (histogram view quite flattened values from 150-255). I guess I need more patience to avoid the bad habit changing values too fast*

I'm much more busy now, so I post portraits here more rarely than before. I'm also tired of seeing my own face lol

just one and even worse. I like the next last portrait how I created. maybe because I'd concentrate well then. it looks like it will take a while before I create more "clean" works with less concentration Razz

Sumaleth, thanks. It's difficult to make an empty smile against myself while painting under longer time but I'll try some smile portraits later. I guess it'd be easier in Australia Very Happy

Midgard, great painting! I love the proportions you've got. How come you're holding a piece of paper but the painting is done on board?

Thanks, it's just a piece of thick cardboard I use as a makeshift palette. I retouched it with some paint splatters on the bottom of the palette so it would be easier to read, but I hadn't added in this version yet. I don't think it's really convincing as cardboard though, I had some trouble with the perspective and seeing the transitions properly to really suggest the subtleties of form and texture of a piece of cardboard. Tricky indeed.

The original size of the painting is like 120 x 80 cm, I cropped off the left window because despite my attempts to unify it with the rest of the painting it was just dead space. But as you can imagine it would still be a bit too large to hold in the palm of my hand. Smile
