SquarePixel- epic man.

A painting for my artistic vision class thats due wednsday, figured Id post it here when I got done though, they want something deep I think, so I painted something rediculous. Trying to think about value relations more and more.

One more Quick & Dirty 45min. Last one for tonight. I caught a glimpse of this guy out of the corner of my eye at 40mph a few weeks ago, and the color of his vest was so striking that I had to make a quick rough of the scene in PS as soon as I got home. It was a really strange day out, the lighting was just odd somehow. This looks a whole lot better than the rough, at least, but... You know how it is.

I need to work on faces, I hate how I've had a regression in that dept... Faces don't bother me at all with pencil & paper but for some reason working digitially I'm having trouble. Need to work on that. Something about getting the color & planes & shadows right is giving me trouble.

Some amazing guys I met at the Gnomon Workshop this weekend suggested I post here, so here I am. I don't know what constitutes a speedpaint but this one took me 3hrs - is that speedy? I'm not sure

caption "fuck."

Bonus points if you can guess the game I got the idea from.

I dont know about this one, it feels too clean and simple now that I look at it again.

Capt. Fred, Cicinimo (was great meeting you at Gnomon), octavian, fishwalker, Ranath, sparth, Mikko K (damn, your last one is good), watmough, Mitsui, SquarePixel, udal and everyone. Great stuff!

P.s love the disgussion a few pages back, I miss that.

Watmough, that's very beautiful. Somehow it reminds me of Cthulhu glass painting from a novel 'The Lurker at the Treshold'. (perhaps my imagination is a bit too vivid)

I continued on the same image. Already far away from being a speedy but scarsely deserves a thread of it's own.

This time the fucker is back with reinforcements.
