I gotta admit, I had a lot of fun with this image, most likely because I didn't have to make sure the figure looked like anyone (I usually rely a bit more heavily on references). In this case, the only references I looked up were for lightning purposes. I quite like this method, and I'll definitely use it in the future. Tons of skin texture brushes were applied for the 'pores'. I also used an emboss effect to make them pop a bit. This image probably took me around 8 hours total, much faster than my usual works.
**Please take a look at the close ups, as I spent an immense amount of time on details

This is great.. Incredible details, they really make a ton of difference, especially in the skin texture. And those eyes are crazy, awesome job overall. My only crit is regarding his second chin - it's a little too flat, the highlights don't seem to be hitting it right. But aside from that minor issue this is a great great piece. |
