hi everyone
I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
I wanted to share with you 2 panels of the neo-noire comic book "Pherone" I am working on. Episode one is coming out in a couple of weeks in Heavy Metal magazine.
here are the first 2 images:
In the first panel from page 16, the main character Eve is shown as a belly dancer. Since this is a flash back scene I wanted to create a magical feeling around her. I used pencils and then just a few layers of color. Since most of the comic book is black and white with flashes of color the flash back scenes had to go well with it and in the mean time be a lot more lively and full of color. So I decided to limit the colors to 2 general hues, but have a lot of variety of the brushes and the intensity.
The 2nd image is a little different version of the original panel from episode 1 and shows the overall look and feel of the whole comic.

Awesome! I really want to knwo what comes next,...
ONe crit tho. I'd desatureate the bgs color. It distracts abit from the red gun imo. |

I use Painter for everything. I don't really use paper anymore.
The whole story will be 78 pages and I get to do the cover of the magazine. It'll come out in 4 episodes as the last one will be 48 pages.
