Thanks, Zorg Nice color there,
Great lighting daryl.
I think I need to start studying photo's with more natural lighting conditions. Studying photos for color purposes when the original photo has been photoshoped or doctored for film to begin with is rather idiotic, I've decided... after spending about a week doing it :p
And here's one more

my first attempt at quickly creating something...had to make it a lot smaller and crop it tho cuz it was fairly large

Nag awesome,
Lingy, thanks, you too,
Mon, you have a great way of taking a mundane subject and making me think that there is a monster just under the surface.
Annis, you're doing a lot of traditional lately- is this a new preference or is there a reason?
Thanks flask, keep it up,
Austere, you'll probably want to use more muted colors, that combo is a bit abrasive :p

Mitsui: The colors are great in your latest.
FallDamage: Keep up the good work, very nice.
Naglfar: Impressive depth to that one. Wow.
Lingy-0: Like the last two you've done there.
Urrgh, been busy the last few days... it's only Monday (Well, Tuesday now) and I can't wait for the weekend. Just a quick one tonight, I watching the Forbin Project and had to cheer on the computers.

falldamage> thanks. It's just that I think traditional helsp alot with learning coloring and such. Plus, its what is demanded at first in art college. After that, its so much fun! . and, good work on your stuff too.
lynx> thanks. that House portrait is great. I'm liking the colors and texture
Mon, freebooter,mitsui, ranath, & naglfar> beautiful.
sketch to painting. wasn't too fussy about getting the sketch too finished and clean, because I knew I would paint over it once I was done.

good work all
er... gouaches again. they're so fun . I think i love them because they dry in a snap, and you can wet them again later if you really need to merge colors, which you dont need to do most of the time if you're careful about the strokes and the amount of water you use.
so yeah, concept. an hour and 10 mins? bad picture because i saved it with MS paint, haha

Great work everyone, another inspiring day.
Decided it was about time I stop hiding in the trees and landscapes for the time being, and start focusing on what I seem to have the most trouble with: lighting, hard edges, and specularity.
I would have painted more shadows, was having fun with the bike shadows, but then I saw what time it is. Oh well...
