Im painting this , and i suddenly my ideas went all out the window .. and im STUCK ...
i dont know what i should paint for the background .. HELP !
The image is huge btw .. Printable to A3 Size ...
Can someone help me with the background ? im really stumped ... ideas ?
oh and crits on this work in progress would be lovely too. |

What is the explanation of the foreground?
Is she coming out of a present? I guess that would be the first thing to know when suggesting ideas for the background.
Fantastic job on the dress. |

streamers and balloons with crazy, weird, nasty sayings, logos, designs on the balloons. A crazy party explosion.

Shes ... kinda like bursting out of a box ...
not a proper looking box too ...
the whole idea for the pose was taken from this picture.
it was one of those days where all ideas escapes you ... but hell, its a nice pose anyway =]. |

Well, you could place the scene on stage in a theatre.
Or place her among many boxes of the same kind she is coming out of, only closed ones instead, of different colours. more abstract like that. |

Just a little update ...
decided that the previous colours where a bit too garish, so i toned it down a bit.
Stage ... theater ... balloons ... party explosions .. streamers ...
*notes things down on paper*
aye ... aye ... the idea is forming now ... oh how it forms .... yesssss ....
comments, and crits please ... need help with the work, its stressful doing something for someone you really care for. =] |

It might actually work without a background if the crop wasn't so low. I dunno, establish a theme? Why is she bursting out from the box? Where is it at? Who is watching? Lovely rendering btw

Since you have asked, I see this woman coming out of a present and it strikes me that she must be a present FOR somebody. Now, a bunch of dirty old men with hard-ons is not all that attractive. How about a bunch of 12-year-old boys arrayed in a circle behind her, each with their own particular smile and delight being expressed? Some being lacivious, others blushing. Strikes me as a dirty old Norman Rockwell painting. But, in the end, you are the artist.
