hey guys, first post here..
i was just messing around a bit, and i started to like the look of things. i really enjoy drawing these weird, surreal shots captured in this sort of 'post-apocalyptic urbanized guerrilla warfare' theme, it's what i draw most of the time while drawing from imagination. not much else to say, i was just wondering if anyone else had any critiques/comments thus far..?

I like the design of the person's clothing and it looks like you've got a good handle on the anatomy (hands can be so tough to do). But it's hard to tell what is going on in the picture. At first glance, it looks like this person is strung up in some spider webs. It also looks like they've been shot. Or maybe they're celebrating the discovery of a pistol that they misplaced long ago: "I've found her!" "I've found Betsy!"
*ahem* It is a nice sketch, if a bit sparse. I posted some black and white sketches a while ago and no one replied either. Don't take it personally. Perhaps experimenting with some neutral colors and interesting lighting/background would make this scene more complete? Overall, it's a very nice and loose sketch you've got here. |

haha, well thank you for your input, greatly appreciated. i suppose it's true that this work carries little weight to discuss, and that the subject is odd and perhaps difficult to interpret. in reflection to that, i will focus more on giving a sense of integrity and depth to my characters, and maybe have the subject make more sense to the average viewer. :P thanks again! |
