hi all
I just signed up for your wonderful forum. A friend turned me on to it and I've been browsing for the last month or so. Great stuff here!! I'm trying to attach an example of the work I do below. This painting is from the chronicles of narnia. The lower portion (rock) is from plate photography (very low res) and the rest is painted in photoshop.
cheers

Welcome!
Your site obviously has some problems. A 'bad request, invalid url message' is displayed when viewing the images (I'm using firefox).
The work itself is super sweet! I really like your way of painting the environments, loose yet informative.
Another Swedish guy in my bookmarks Keep it up!
cheers,

Same problem with Firefox... However, it did work without the "bad request" error message when I used MSIE.
Nice work... BTW... _________________ HonePie.com

Thank you all!
I need to go back and rework the site, it's obviously a bit wanky. I'm so bad with all that stuff... I noticed alot of you are using coppermine. How does that work? Is it used in conjunction with another web design program?
I've looked at most of you guys' websites, amazing work!!

Your site isn't all that bad actually, the art's pretty damn good too, just keep it simple and don't let the webdesign overwhelm that which should be the real focus of such sites
For now I'd suggest changing the glaring cyan avtive text hyperlink colour to something else.
Coppermine, I believe works like Gallery (which is what I use), it's a third party script which you could install (that involves simple uploading and configuration and coding) onto your webserver/space, I can't explain it well enough but these sites probably could:
http://coppermine-gallery.net/index.php
http://gallery.menalto.com/
Depending on what restrictions/limitations your host has, you could choose either of them. _________________ Derelict Studios|Godwin's Space |

Godwin:
thanks for the links, I've been trying to read through how coppermine works, but I need to find some time to get it done. I'm just confused on how it integrates with your already existing web pages...?
Mon:
Thank you! I'll try to post more pics soon. Seems to be quite a few Swedes on this forum! |
