Hey, I'm brand-new to this forum and also a brand new digital artist. I'm looking for some constructive criticism on this in-progress piece. I'm also VERY intimidated by all the incredible work on this forum!

My critique to you would be a couple of things. First off is that the lighting is different on all 3 figures, yet, I"m being lead to believe that they are occupying space in the same room. They should be lit in a similar fashion to one another, but not completely just due to their location in respect to the light source.
Secondly, the lines you're using to define the room somewhat split the picture into a triptych rather than a single composition. at first I even thought it was 3 seperate pieces until I noticed the center figure overlapping the first. Try to lessen the effect of these verticle lines because they will split the picture up that way. Try to make it so that the lines don't stretch the entire length of the picture.
Lastly is that your anatomy is slightly off. The head on the first figure is too big, the shoulder on the second is too small, and the shoulder is in the wrong place on the third. The chin's on the second and the third figure need to be fixed. Smaller on the second to make it look less masculine, and just a slight adjustment of the jawline on the third. _________________ "It's not the tools you use but how you use them that counts." |

Thank you, that is very helpful. I was looking for ways to unify the piece and that is exactly what you provided |
