I really like the idea of your style, since I kinda think photomanipped//painted styels should be used more often...
BUT
A few of the things I saw that I would change...
1 - Some of the photos you used REEEAAALLY need to be higher quality... try places like www.sxc.hu , www.bigfoto.com , and www.morguefile.com [not a site for dead things/people] for great stock royalty free photography.
2 - The gradient colored sketch can work once in a while, but a couple of the images... like the first one, I think if you painted it to be photorealistic overtop that type of background it would make for an AWSOME finished piece... [just my opinion I guess]
but I LOVED the one... I think the title said like "industrial -1" it's one of the last links....[sorry i can't remember exactly which one]... again though some of the image compressions were a little funky... so look into that.
anyways man, hope this helps..
if not just blow it off.... haha
keep makin stuff like this, just refine your style
peace

I think when I see your linework, that there is wonderful detail there, but I think from here you should maybe try for a balance between the line detail and the emphasis of form, you will likely find that in sacrficing at least a little of that detail for emphasis of form that there will be marked improvement Its hard to find a good balance between good linework and rendering, but keep at it! |

gCuezy= Thanks a lot for your comments on these artworks. Indeed, my photo quality and compression method should definitly be improved:) I need to improve my skills in so many areas and will spend the next few months in the country side just for that purpose.
crigg= agree. it has been in my mind lately that i should find this balance. Sijuns is a great forum to view good exemple of such equilibrium. and C&C from fellow artists like you do help in my improvement of the last 2 years.
Thanks all of you. |
