A bit too early for comments I suspect. Still looks too much like a collection of geometric shapes with some texture maps wrapped around them, with a simple fog render. Keep working on it, but comments are going to be tough until it starts looking like a piece of art, if you know what I mean.

heh, this looks a lot like something from the cover of the mammoth book of best new sf are you going to do this entirely in 3d or will you switch into photoshop to paint over this? i suxor at environments so no suggestions from me! but good luck on getting into Expose'
