Hurri-cane: great to have you posting here again!

Chris-Mayernik: nice, you always come through with those little gems!

Watmough: nice

Vyle: kick ass man. Have fun teaching at the workshop!

another pic after N.B. although I'm not trying to make it that way. Just trying to simplify shapes and detail.

it took less than 2 hrs but then i have always painted fast, so cut it apart and tell me how to do better...

I just realized it's gone a year since the last time I posted a painting here! So I thought I'd stop by now and post this. This painting is a bit of an experiment; it's almost entirely painted using the clone-stamp (I did paint the texure I cloned from though) . So, if anyone asks if I painted it, I can say that I cloned it Smile.

Inspired by Tomi Ungerer and his book for children, the three Brigands (1979).

Nice work all as usual,
I've been looking at this thread regularly for inspiration - after years of lurking it's time to post something of my own.
I plan to turn this into a self portrait, but thought I'd post it here before I render it to death.

fucking savage Hurri-cane! Great job on the troll/creature!!!

xavier, erling, misc, crazy brush, gizmodus: great work guys!!

Ranath: Thanks, I agree that I should push my designs a bit further. I see what I want it to be in my head, so I usually stop early thinking everyone else will get my "idea". Thanks for your honesty!

Terry g: nice work, feels a bit like you should vignette the piece a bit more. I like how you captured the composition in the frame, though the light values surrounding the main shapes make my eyes leave the picture too easily. Furthermore, the colors are moody and nice, but I feel like you can push the values a bit more. anyway, keep posting!

Brice, nice first post. Keep going, youve a long road ahead.... LIke mE!!!!!

Sorry no pic to post. actually I was going to post, but I think I'll hold off so I don't spam too much. Plus, I'm just in fanboy mode right now! Wink
