second finished image on illustrator...did it for my local skateshop deck design and sticker...basically been using multiple shapes of different tones for the shading and lighting...takes time but seems like there should be easier ways...anyway....crit away!...

ps...dont mind those cute lil clouds**

Best thing i�ve seen all day! So damn cool! I love it!
The shading on the face is awesome, but the quality is alot lower on his helmet/hood thingy.
might wanna fix that, and add a simple background!

This is really well done . . . I am trying to do some stuff in illustrator but have not used it in a while How lond did this take you ?

well i had to make every shape for each shade of color..it took me about a week...working on it about an hour each day...
i agree the helmet needs some work...thanks a lot

Looks nice, lighting on his head and the rest of his body is inconsistant, seems to be from opposite directions.

I like the shading on the face also. The lighting appears to be coming from the top left and seems consistant through out to me.

the gradients were really weird to work with especialy with really organic shapes...have a lot to learn...speakin of which....'ta hell's the KEYline?..bob

The face is amazing! I have respect for anyone that illustrates using vectors, because they are totally beyond me Embarassed

sorry - its called outline in Illustrator.. ctrl/cmd+y should give u the keyline (outline) of your work
