If that's from a photo, very nice job.
If it's from life, being your first self portrait--amazing.
Maybe you just have more art experience in general than I did, but I'm not even that good now, let alone when I first started. I love the brushwork. My only crit is that the mouth doesn't look quite right, like it's facing the wall too much. Also the ear looks kinda sloppy.
And you're 19? I'm 18 and I hope I'm that good in a year. |

Ok, let me 1st mention that i haven't done any digital art (yet) and have no experience but will be starting to after my school semester ends(or maybe even before). But I am a digital media design student. but let me critic objectively, as a person who appreciates art.
i love your brush work. but just one problem... the part where the face ends and meets the shadow on the wall...it just looks a bit flat. can't say why either. _________________ "Open Your Eyes and Listen" |
