Doughbot - good ones. Your style is one of my favourites.
Visual myriad - those girls are INCREDIBLE!!! McGinnis Homepage has nothing like this...
Thanks to Mitsui and Seth1!
My PC is running all day, but with the kids, dog, garden I only really sit in the evenings. I still draw storyboards on paper, but it's shifting since I came here.
Some more chinese studies...

Visual myriad >> youhou ! Crazy brush.
Thanks Lingy-0.Nice study. I'm trying myself to paint daylight scene since i've seen The Return of The Spooge Demon
M@ >> so you're back too
P-Rik >> nice one. Think i'm spending about 12/15h...shame.
Visionspring >> love the last (a bit twisted but i think it gives character to the face)
Seth1 >> i like the last one.I prefer acrylic only, i think you've got to much contrast in the lower part of the face in photoshop.
don't drink C***-C***
a bit too dark or a lack of contrast....... |

Chris-Mayernik, I really like the way you colored this one, and I apreciate a lot the hilights in the right eye, I ve seen some people using this kind of oversatured color to do highlights but i never understood how to do that, could you give me some tips?
Don t even ask me what is this fish race...
testing other techniques

Once a year or so, the forum should give a "most improved" or a "most progress" award.
The first one should go to SETH.
I went back and looked at some of his first stuff and he really has come a long way without hitting a threshold. He improves a little bit each time. |

@p-rik: it depends. i guess an average is maybe 6-8 hours a day but i try to get away from it as much as i can
@luc: you're right. what you see is the part i cropped from one more fucked up piece. feel free to add a face if you like
@lingy-0: dont be too worried. i actually have that feeling every second picture i paint, i guess the secret is not to give up too early. most of the pictures i paint myself suck but at least i have the feeling i'm going into the right direction (or wrong direction - then i know what to avoid next time). besides i like your picture too, it has flaws, but also lots of good parts! as spooge is sort of a scale here (is that correct english?) look at his oldest pictures, they're nice but they have problematic areas too. am i allowed to say this here without being stoned to death by the sijun community?
another faceless girl

luc: I see what you mean about that! Ill watch out for that! Got to paint about 100 more untill i really get the feel for traditional sp's.. i seem to make them flat.
stacy: I am flater thank you very much! I still going to improve all the time and will never stop..... Thank you...
retro: Missed you posting man! Keep them comming.
