yeah i know this looks like the mask of dream the endless, but i was going for one of those german gas masks or something, oh well im not sure on the bg so can someone give me some ideas?

I saw in my mind a dark background swirling with, well, gas...but the gas has got dreamlike shapes in it Very Happy

Why is it light gray, insted of lowly saturated dark green?
Go to Google, and type something like "german gas mask"
This is the closest one to the type you must be looking for?

the mask is colour is actually a bluish grey... but the green looks interesting
