I wrote up a little diddy that is a working 'how to' for converting Openfilght format to WRL for use in MAX.
I used Multigen/Creator which output .FLT files for several years...then when we migrated over to our new game engine from Performer to NetImmerse, we started using MAX..so..needless to say..at the time this seemed valuable.
Smoke 'em if ya got 'em. |

I think they're making a game. They moved to a new engine and he made exporter for 3dmax, but he's talking like everyone here knows what he's up to! lol
I never even heard any of those formats or engines, they must all suck :D |

We mock what we don't understand. MultiGEN Creator is a high end modeling package. It was used for instance to make San Francisco Rush. It's primarily used for Military simulation because of it's ultra usefull terrain features.
Performer is the main OpenGL engine on SGI. So..for non highend PC users they wouldn't know what performer is.
Now..NetImmerse is also very mainstream. It's used for instance with Munch's Oddesy.
I guess since you haven't heard of them then they must suck. Wonder why Oddworld would use them? |
