So, for my visual construction class, i opted out of the zoetrope (animation thing) and decided to do my final project as a comic book cover......
here's what i have so far... still needs alot of work though...
FOR EXAMPLE... the font is not gonna look anything like that, it's just temporary, i'm going to hand draw it.

The main image is fine but why do you have 2 copies of the character?
Does he have a twin brother?
Even if he does have a twin he wouldnt be in the exact pose. |

Second revision is cleaner, but I don't get the impression with either that the hut is exploding. Sure he's holding a trigger, but to me the effect you've used looks more like some kind of beam of ligh / alien tractor beam. Anyway, I like the character design. Looks good. One other thing, the colours overall don't offer enough contrast between forground and background IMO, maybe you could experiment with highlighting an area with a bit of value contrast. |
