I'll try to post the sketch when I fiure out how. Very Happy

Use the Img tags. They are up there above where you are typing your post. Blue buttons, kinda close to the right side, between URL and List=. Lol, okay, now u should know where it is (sorry if i went overboard, haha). Anyway, you then need to post the URL to your image. If you have your own site or something, it shouldn't be a problem, but if you're using a server that doesn't support direct image hosting, then try imageshack.us to upload your image, and use the URL that says something like direct link...I think it's the last one on the list--I'm not sure.

Anyway, hope that's all you needed to know!

Here is the colors I've been working on for the background:

Again I think the water I creatd looks too much like lake water an not ocean water.

I added the canoe and merged the paddler with the canoe and the island in the back which get me to:

So... I practiced with some waves and came up with this illustration...

http://img433.imageshack.us/img433/2946/wave19fq.jpg

It's nice, but it's a shroe shot. What I've done so far is not looking good at all.
Anyone here done any good ocean water illustrations that could give me some advice would be great.-Thanks-

water should only be outlined at the crests... or highlights rather, to give the peaks shape, not the full "wave" otherwise it will look like a serious of connected cracks in clay.
