chris> WOW on the colors/values. just amazing. im savoring all the beautiful colors.

igino> same for you too. amazing color usage and great work overall !

seth> chris is right. you're working hard and it's showing! keep it up

this was done in an sp session with seth.
1 hour. ref used.
my hand's too shaky today... dono why. might be because i was lifting weights?

Sad one thing... In the psd format in photoshop, this image looked really good color wise. as soon as i exported it, all the colors were lost and everything was darkened. it's been happening lately. maybe the settings got screwed?

@ Annisahmad: Your's is pure perfection!
@ Theo-W-P.: Your's is also great, and since I'm a science geek I just love seeing Sci-fi paintings and such!

I had to stop at the mountains. I have a hard time drying hard surfaces and details. Does any one have tutorials?

Stewart one, gizmodus, flaptraps(second one of your last post is fantastic), 77, great work. Smile

yarik, don't try to be that fast, if 7 minutes aren't enough for you to get it right, take as much as you need. Try to paint with less strokes more effective, you can try around long, and only if you get it right with your first strokes, you will see why those rough paintings in here are called "speedpaintings"; but the speed is not that important, it just comes along with as less strokes as possible. Wink
I bet your painting is the fastest on the last ten pages, but it doesn't make it any better.
So take your time and try it again. Smile

Here is a repaint i did to show you in this simple example what it's all about, keep it simple but effective:
