haven't had much energy for speedies lately, owing to health problems, but I was able to sketch this on my tablet the other day at the doctor's office. Not a real painting, just trying to get a feel for Painter's digital watercolors.

Thx all.
Simon Gustafsson ... well i have played MonkeyIsland2, but long time ago and i don't remember any scene like this. So well its a phantastic game and i love such "adventures" and maybe it shines through my last image.
Odds - i never use references for my environments, but i keep my eyes open. So well, movies are always good inspiration, or just leaf thorugh some travel-magazines at station booskstore while waiting for the train.
Or sometimes i just leaf through a lot of different photos at gettyimages.com, but just to learn how things could look like - i never use it as direct reference. Or i visit the botanic-garden in our town. So, its always a lot of different input, but nothing special.
Mitsui, i especially like your Waterfall-Lanscape and it doesn't look messed up to me.
And it inspired me to do a waterfall-scene too ... ok, its easy to motivate me to paint waterfalls - i love 'em.

Syl and Mitsui: Thanks a couple pages back.
Mitsui: cool pics. how did you feel about D. Cole's DVD?
M@: That pic on the last page was niiiiice.
Vyle: Those suit concepts looked very fun. And, I agree with what you said in the other thread about age, skill, and "the long run."
Trying to push the cinematics in my sh*t. Random DSG topic about Bubblegum monsters chewing people.

Finally enough time to do a little painting / collage work. This is one evening's work + a little bit the next evening for tweaks.
A big "awesome work" to viag, vyle, sparth, spooge, dougbot, francis tsai, jfb, your work in this thread is beyond inspiring.

Reakshun:
The DVD's of Dylen Cole are great! When I saw his speedpaints he post's here
from time to time I was wondering how he paints this detailed stuff so fast.
In the dvd's you can see that I learned already a lot of them.
Great sketch btw!
ax-hv:
great pics!
