Just painting practice. Next I'll try to be looser, set values down more firmly and rapidly and generally fiddle around less.

great technique,,, it's just not very intriguing though...looks like that one sewer in that one place... little creepy in that way... nice lighting too!

Its great... Its a very clean sewer, I would probably make it more gritty and give it age making it even more creepy!

Godwin: if you mean whether this is going to be used in a film, no. It was a technical test for a school film in a way, but it's not going to be used for anything.

I've kind of gotten this liking for dull images recently... Don't know why. Maybe something will come out of it. I guess this could have used more debris etc.

Thanks for the comments!

it's a very nice work. looks good and the textures look like.. .they belong

as the others said - it IS too clean. steryl enviroments look somewhat unnatural in most cases. maybe more details can add life and a feeling of realism to it. look for reference of sewers if u need.

also i think that it could have looked a lot more interesting if u had put more effort into the sketching part - a better more interesting composition is needed here. it's too simetrical IMO. also the lines are all vertical or horisontal. it's too boring in this case. if u had chosen a POv that is lower or higher and a lil on the side than the lines wouldnt have been to aligned and un-interesting.
i dont want to offend u or this piece cuz it's a great one with realli nice lightning and perspective. just could have been better. the primary sketch is incredibly important - setting a good composition in vital and can make all the difference.

keep it up! Smile
