Rolthryn, like the first one
But next time insert a second break between two pictures to seperate them; this time its hard to concentrate on one piece at one time.
M@. i like the "chase" picture
Simon Gustafsson, your illuminated-monks picture is great.

Hey guys! Long time no see!
I have come back from prague after 6 months, and will go back soon to continue studies for a while.
i should be doing some illustrations to fund my way, but its been such a long time since the last time i painted with photoshop that i had to warm up the routine, so here is the resulting speed painting:
glad to see the thread is alive and kicking, and on the last few pages especially, nice sketches people!
ps. it's such a strange feeling to be filling out this reply form again! _________________ Gecko

thanks
...always weird when tilting a piece and how it becomes something totally different, even the material itself looks different. hmm maybe has something to do with the brain being too obsessed with finding a motif...

Luc - Nice level of abstraction you got going there. Top right corner almost looks like a flock of birds taking of.
Duracel - thank you very much!
Rolthryn - I like your stormy sea. It reminds me of the Swedish artist August Strindbergs work. _________________ www.karlsimon.com

very good, barontieri, pringle and capt flush!
matthew... man, just paint! don't stop! your dedication to learning is incredible, i don't remember anyone here working as hard as you to push forward and get better, i still remember how things were when u appeared to this forum. amazing.
captflush, it was great to see you again, if only for a brief while. I hope things are going ok for you. my friend who was supposed to host us at stockholm finally replied.. i had her OLD email address :(.
cant wait to go back to prague.. i will be doing figure drawing/painting 6 times a week, for 4 months, something my school in finland doesn't really offer much. On top of that drawing for fun and doing homework assignments, it will be a blast.
It's funny that i will be there when the conceptart.org workshopamathingy takes place, i guess ill meet some of those guys there.
it's so nice to see people posting.

Sparth: you're inhuman. I've never seen anyone produce work at such a high standard, so quickly. Seriously. I hope you take great pride in your talent, because you most definitely should. Thanks for the inspiration. |
