Okay, sooo... who has been to see the most amazing movie to have ever been created by human life?
I haven't seen it, so please, no spoilers. I'm just looking for a general "it rocked" or "it sucked" type of response.
Give it to me straight now, I can handle it.. |

As a Spiderman fan myself, it was the closest thing to a wetdream in a real life...
In other words, I loved it. Sam Raimi is a genius and Willem Dafoe is fucking great. |

Macy Gray sucked.
Thanks for dating the movie. Nice. Why why why why why why was she in there? Dammit that pisses me off. A perfectly great movie ruined by a stooooooopid cameo by some here today gone tomorrow singer... unless Raimi is a genius and put her in there because NO ONE WILL REMEMBER WHO SHE IS IN 15 YEARS!!!
Muh hah hah hah... genius.
It rocked. |

It rocked so much!!1 Oh man it was such a cool movie!! I loved every last second of it.. My jaw was open from the sheer coolness of everything.. the attention to detail... It was awesome.....
There were a few scenes where the characters seemed CGed but totally forgivable.
Even my non-comic oriented, non- computer oriented fiance liked it alot.
It was awesome... go see it!! |

You know how they got around the whole, "I can tell the difference between the CG and the real footage" thing?
Usually: People complain that the CG graphics look fake and plasticy next to the real characters...
In Spiderman: Peter Parker's suit is actually really cheap plasticy fabric, the spider-web design pops off the suit about half an inch and is very plasticy aswell...So the real suit is actually just as fake looking as the CG one...Thus minimalizing the difference in look when they switch between them.
From the commercials especially The entire movie looks plastic. |

I saw it yesterday. It was incredible. I want to see it again.
Macho Man as "Bonesaw" was awesome! He was ripped like crazy, and I don't remember him being THAT big. He must be pumpin' roids.
Awesome movie. |

I have my doubts. Either it can be "Batman" or it can be "X-Men" (needless to say I'm a big fan of Burton's first two Batman movies).
Althrough I am not a big Spiderman fan, I know there are essentials for a great movie, eaven for an actionthriller or something like that. When, years ago, I heard that David Fincher, the director of "Fight Club" was going to make "Spiderman" I was really exited, but not too much later he refused to take the studios orders and they hired Raimi who'd make this the studio way (check out his resume, not too impressive, imho ... quantity, not quality: http://us.imdb.com/Name?Raimi,+Sam + notice, "Spiderman 2"). If WB had done that with Burton, we probably wouldn't have 4 sequels to "Batman" ...
So, I have my doubts. |

It was good. I didn't find it spectacular or anything but I will say this much:
With the amount of potential they had to completely screw this up, they managed not to.
That can go a long way in making me feel good about a movie these days. |

"From the commercials especially The entire movie looks plastic."
So it's not that bad? I had already dismissed it from the commercials because I absolutely hate poorly integrated CG. To me it's like watching something full of lens flares. ;-) |

oh it's bad alright.
like harry potter, and lotr, even when you try your best to accept the lame cg it becomes a game where you find which cut is real and which is fake.
goes something like ok that's real, ok that's fake, real, fake, fake, fake, real, fake!
spideyman is a pretty bad film. it starts off fresh with a nice spin but once the 'with great power comes great responsibility' line is uttered it takes a huge nosedive.
worth watching? yes, but just keep your expectations very, very low. |

So let me get this straight, you thought LOTR sucked as well as Spider-Man?
I guess 95% of the movie reviewers share somewhat of a different opinion than you.
Keep your expectations very, very high. The movie will meet them, and go beyond. |

my lotr comment was in reference to all the cg scenes that transplated the real actors for fake ones.
but yea, in general i didnt like lotr too much.
i'm not sure what you mean by your last comment, what movie?

blade 2 had some nice integration of cg doubles.
on a related issue, my award for worse human animation goes to... TADAAA!!!! ICE AGE!
(did anyone beside me learn that there is no such word as "worst"?) |

Just saw it.
It was really really good.
The acting was all over pretty good, the green goblin guy was good, as well as spiderman but.. I find it a coincidence that MJ needed acting lessons in the movie..
Really good.
The last 20 minutes or so might have started to degrade a little bit, but thats a given for any action scene..
The CG spider man didn't look that bad, that wasn't too bad though, you didn't see his CG counterpart much.
I liked his origional costume against the wrestler better... |

Watch Coaster's head explode. I have a feeling that I'm soon going to be dragged to it. Good thing I want to go... |
