I agree its one of the better ones Ive played so far. All the soldier kits are resonably balanced and beeing on foot in this one is kick ass fun.
Looking forward to the retail version in a week =) |

i hate the demo! i'm already addicted again, like 2,5 years ago.
can somebody burn down the games-industry, please? and the internet, too? i would have a social life again and paint and draw as much as i should. hopefully. _________________ known as "ChrisNix" elsewhere. |

On one hand, I hate supporting EA. On the other, it's pretty fun, and Forgotten Hope is getting pretty old.

Yea, it's so great, it doesn't even work on Geforce 4s! Is that great or what! Wow I love it so much I can't bear to play it even though I've been waiting for it forever because it doesn't work, wow, props to EA and nVidia!
It's a Ti 4200 btw, and don't tell me it's an old card, that's crappy reasoning, radeon 8500s and 9200s are supported. Why? Oh wow because back then ATI decided PixelShader 1.4 was worth pursuing, and so those cards have support for them... I don't know who the partnership is with anymore, if it's not a ploy for people to buy more nVidia cards, I don't know what it is.
I wouldn't be complaining if the game ran BADLY, but mind you, I can't even START the game. There's a fix out there though, a partial one, I've got to play the demo, it's fun, but I'm not going to get the game just yet. _________________ Derelict Studios|Godwin's Space |

I was in the same boat Godwin. I actually bought my ti4200 back when the first Battlefield came out, because it wouldn't run on a TNT2
I just picked up a Radeon 9800 for BF2 . . . they're only about $100 now. The Radeon has the added benefit of an S-video out, which may come in handy for me.
If their goal was making more sales for nvidia, they failed. I bet most people ditching their GF4s are moving to Radeons because of the better value. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

I'M NOT TRYING IT! As awesome as it looks, I very well know the whole summer will mysteriously have disappeared by the time I run the executable. Assuming my 1.4 ghz, GeForce 2 MX-400, hamster-powered computer will endure the process, that is. Something which I greatly doubt. _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I got the full game for birthday. Thats when I realized it needs pixel shader 1.4. So Ill be organizing a new graphics card off a friend for now. I dont dare use the hack because they closed down accounts that used it, reasoning it could be used for cheating. |

Hi, I'm glad that you who got it to run likes it!
I worked very hard on it for a year as a levelartist, and i'm very proud of it, since i think it became a great game.
im sorry that it's very heavy on the computer/graphicscard :\
But compared to say halflife2, our levels are very very big, and it has to work somewhat good with 64 players, playing on the same server. |

Hey Binke, youre like still alive? Im playing the full game now way too often, even though Im usually not into online shooters. Only setback is that I can only play on 16 people servers (if Im lucky), because I have 64k isdn and no real chance to get any better connection.
Its still a ton of fun. Altough I have to say that there are some things in the game that are royally fucked up, like the key binding system and the delay when you want to go into the menu. I cant believe that nobody of you guys realized how awfully annoying it is to change key bindings in the game.
The levels are awesome though, good work Binke! |

hey glitter, yeah, i've just been working too much lately (with bf2) But now im back from a 3 week vacation in japan, and im feeling alive again.
im not on the bf2 team anymore, but I think patches are on the way to fix the problems people have.. i think EA gave out a press-statement, that patch 1.03 was next to come.. soon.
glad you like the levels anyway! i only did half of them though (5-6 or something) which level is your favourite? Mine is Strike at Karkand.
HoodZ, try playing on a 16 player server, then the combat area on that map has adapted to fit for 16 players. (ie, the area that you play on, is smaller)
dont play on a 64player setup, unless..there's enough people on it |

I bought it too, not a bad game at all. Fortunately I don't have the attention span to play it too long at a time... Happens with almost anything I do these days. After an hour or two I just go "ah well" and quit. Which is good, because otherwise I'm pretty sure my free time would be spent playing the game exclusively. |
