is the skewed and incoherent perspective a purposeful thing?

hmmm... don't think so... The perspective is actually there - a bird's eye view perspective where the radiating perspective lines get wider apart from bottom to top.

However, I would say I don't take perspective very seriously in this type of picture... Smile

Sorry I meant the mismatching viewpoints certain objects seem to adopt. But nevermind, it's no big deal really (like you said so yourself) since it's a children's magazine, was just curious heh...

the dentist tools suddenly appears in front of my eyes Smile

These kind of pictures are great when that evil drill starts spinning, there is so much action going on everywhere. I remember from when I was a kid that i would make up these weird little scenarios for what all those characters were up to.

As Affected mentioned, I hope they'll print these fairly big, would be a shame to loose the detail.

great work!

Also I still love your work Eyewoo. Nicely colourful and jolly daybrightening. Smile

Yea, I used to draw side-view future battlefields with rockets, lasers, spaceships, future tanks, fallen soldiers and the like.
My brother drew stickfigure-mineworkers working in tunnels (also side-view), digging rock and getting crushed. Smile

Ahh... It calls to mind the happy days of reading Highlights magazine and Ranger Rick. I wonder how the Timber Toes are doing these days.

Nice work eyewoo. Smile
