First to reply AHAHAHA
Fantastic work. The Stone he is sitting on seems just a tiny bit out of perspective. Seems to me that the line in the middle continues being the same distance away from me. But overall you have a very nic pictorial. I love the rendering of the moon and the shield
edit: Whoah, phucking a 60 hours??? Must be a new world record. |

Yah - the stone he's sitting on - seems like the perspective is a bit too forced...

The perpective is messing with my head, but I like it
I love the water, but the character doesn't read well imho. I have trouble with the cape, but I don't know why.
The overall mood is really good
I like it =) _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

I love this sort of fisheye forced perspective. I think you have a problem with the lily pads. They are a big part of setting the perspective. I did a paintover (or manip over) to demo what I'm feeling about the picture... which is very nice, BTW...
I changed the perspective on many of the lily pads. The ones in the nearest foreground are still virtually birdseye perspective, but as you move into the picture, they change to more of a normal perspective. In the original, most of the liliy pads remained at full birdseye perspective.

Thx 4 comments!
@eyewoo,
aak thx for that overpaint, but in my opinio it looks now much more broken funny to look at, but it seems like there are huige waves now on the water or something, yak everything is turning
next time i should use an easy perspective _________________ *

No problem... but, it wasn't about the waves... it was about the lily pads..

I agree on the lilies, it makes much more sens now. I think the thing about the waves you're seeing is because one lily pad is a bit tilted.
EDIT after looking at it again: Correction: not one lily is tilted but the problem is rather that all the pads ar different aligned which creates the impression of the water beeing uneven. But well... it's just an overpaint I'd say |
