Petri, yes I am going to do that this summer. Dusso and I work pretty much the same way. I will orient my dvds more to instruction than a demonstration. It feels strange to instruct , like wheres your license, dude?

Great to see everyone working so hard here.

The baron entertains/intimidates the lady and count Fenring at the matches. Or something like that. Been I while since I read the books, I think I will again. Don't like the ladys face. Looks photochopped, and it is not. Ran out of time, repainted her about 4 times, no luck.

wow spooge. once again you amaze me. Your values and lighting are spot on. Gotta work harder myself or ill never catch up. Looking forward to your dvds. i watched dussos, wich where very inspirational, but i think they lacked some of the ideoligy behind everything. It was more just him painting, and not saying all that much about why he was doing what he was doing. The mattepainting one was better though. what will be the focus of yours?

cheers everyone!

Spooge:
Yeah I know what you mean. Before it's been enough to know how to draw, but now you have to explain it. Shocked ehh..?
Perhaps it would help if you write a list of things you should say, so if and when there comes the uncomfortable silence, you could just shoot one tip on the air. Razz

Spooge: those will be the Hottest dvd's on the F*cking market! I wish you luck... Dusso's dvd's were really boring. sped up x2 and he doesn't really say anything other than "so I paint here, then I paint and I paint until looks good. so just paint until its right. ok?"

Btw, Your baron pic is the best of all your barons... I finally feel like you've nailed him in my mind. I was never sure about his baldness, but I really dig the cloak. Is that background a crop from one of your gladiator pics? Wink looks like it.

Nice job Teyekanik, You've come so far.. crit wise, I'm bothered by the floor perspective, the background is a bit wierd and lastly, maybe most importantly, the cockpit vs the size of the monitors etc makes it look very small. Be careful about size relationships.

Stewart one: that drawing is waaaaaaay cool! flawless.

and Watmough, good god that watercolor is splendid!!!!!!! I lvoe you! Wink

ODD:The first one rocks my world. Great color, mood, and texture.

I'm not much of a pencil artist, but here are some Dune concept-things I've just finished. right now I'm just working up ortho's to get my design down, then Illustrations next. more coming too!
Gonna color em up soon as my hideous finals are done.

So I love this Rev Mother, but hate the Bene Gesserit face. will fix that in paint

The Baron and Feyd... Needs work. Those are going to be suspensor balls.

Pilot 3rd stage and fremen

Worm design.... didn't realize how Beatlejuice it was till I designed it, but I like it.

and a thumbnail for a worm illo

Pato: Thx, and I love those two last pieces you've done, the lady and the pirate.

There's so much nice stuff here. Spooge, that's great!
Trurl: Nice!
See:) Cool.
Duracel Smile Nice Train.
Nicols Uribe: Nice.
Capt. Flushgarden's: wow.
Petri.J: Love that fish.
All on previous pg.
Cannot mention you all, that would end up like end credits of a movie, haven't got time, but there's so many strong pieces!

I just tried to mess with contrast and values, no ref. really a quickie.

Another plane concept.

Hello, Everybody second post here!
I change my nickname from lixopdf to SkyWalker!

> Spooge your sensibility to the use of
colors and tones, and the manner than you manipulate them, always Amaze me! BRAVO!
Your art inspires me!

> oDD, I really dont known what it is, But I really Like It!

> Matthew, Beautifull Light and Shadows, great ambiance.

This is a old one, done from a reference image from Attach of the Clones, its Padme! Done in Painter. I Post it in a big size because of the
details, but don`t worry, it is a small file size.

The reference from this picture is a image of Porto Fino,
a location in Italy, where George Lucas film some shoots for Attach
