captain flushgarden: Amazing! love the style, reminds me a painting from spooge:

Rough style, with high light point, it works incredibly. do you work on painter or photoshop?

This is my first attempt at a real speedpainting... I think it took me like, one to two hours. Actual size is 1024x768. I think I might turn it into a finished peice.

This thread is awesome... You guys have given me good ideas of speedpainting technique!

Bjornar: I agree with you on the batman franchise...realism is the way to go to properly portray his character.
Cat.FlushGarden: amazing!
Feefie04: I like it alot!

lightsabres are dangerous.

Bjornar - I am glad that you like my site! Very beautiful girl.
Max Kulich & annisahmad- Thanks! Your colours and contrasts are amazing!
Capt.FlushGarden - wow Shocked
Nicols Uribe - Hey, thank you! I visited your site too, and my jaw is somewhere under my knees after seeing your work. How can you accomplish that dreaming atmosphere?! And you did all in oil... Shocked
I read in you bio that you worked with illustration and gave up to paint full time. I trying to do the same thing. Illustration, at least here in Brazil, is very stressful.

truri, that's just beautiful. Elegant, evocative, and beautifully lit. Wow.

Is it an InterGalactic MotorShow 2085 or something?

Long time i refrain fromvisiting this forum ... it was "too much" for me and i needed a break from it, to concentrate on my own way.

So i still don't give up painting(and was still active in a german-artforum) ... and thought i improved ... but what the hell is going on here ... Matthew is a highlight on every page one of his picture is on -> this is what i call real improvement!
Nice to see you still working very hard, Matthew. Smile

*** - Comment to the Discussion -
btw, i think its important to ask yourself, why other people with lower knowledge get more attention - most time of it, its the better "design", and its a bit like spooges speedies, less paint, but there are things more important. Its the same in whole life - you need "contrast", so if all people hard working, the lazy man is the most attractive;; or: you need soft and hard edges - you have to know when you have to be "smart" and when to be "hard" to other people; etc. etc..
Hope you understand the key-point in my words; all in life is based on the same ideas as a good painting!
***

But Matthew is just an indicator for how this forum still moves on - so much fantastic art, and even spooge himself improved in my eyes, but the whole forum catches up with him more and more. I don't miss the pages, where mullins and flushgardens pictures were the only ones blow my mind. ^^

Anyway, here are the imho best speedpaintings out of my last months, hope you like it.
If you'd like to see all i have done, take a look at www.duracel.de/gallery/

capt. flushgarden> great to see u back! beautiful sp!
chris> i really like that one Very Happy. adn i really like the realistic lighting in the other piece. very nice.
buzzz> great colors!
synnical> i really like that Smile. great background
pato> u continue to amaze me. great work!
trurl> wow man. great lighting! it's just superb.
duracel & see> great; both of u.

i think i might do wat duracel did; leave this forum for a bit. this place is killer, and i'm getting too influenced by the works of others. the styles here are awesome, but i don't want that to happen. want myself to have the opportunity to create my own style which i branched off of some time back Razz.

something done from a ref. 1 hour.
